Luxembourg U20 men take step forward to home gold with strong start

The hosts of Luxembourg started their quest for home gold at the 2014 CEV U20 Men Volleyball European Championship – Small Countries Division by routing rookies Wales in three straight sets (25-10, 25-20, 25-9) on Friday night at d’Coque. On Saturday they will take on Scotland – allegedly their toughest competitor for the final crown – that on the opening day of the competition went through ups and downs before coming back strong to claim the “Celtic derby” with Northern Ireland by 3:2 (23-25, 25-20, 18-25, 25-11, 15-10).
